Pittsburgh has a tight knit music scene. Once you start discovering our local bands you may begin to recognize many bands rotate in band members from other Pgh bands. As a result, many of my friends and their friend’s bands will play “Key Parties” which are concerts consisting of 3 bands where they play each other’s songs and often times have a grand finale with everybody on stage. They are a lot of fun! I’ve found the crowds at these shows are really into the music, having a great time, and super friendly.

Out of these shows, a new compilation CD complete (with after party) has emerged. The CD will be available for free the weekend of August 8th at the New American Music Union Festival in Pittsburgh’ South Side.
